“The lotus arises from all its impediments. It actually needs the impurity of the water for its nourishment. In the same way, in our own personal development, we can’t just work with what we like about ourselves. We have to work with our muddy water. We have to work with our problems and hang-ups because that’s where the action is.” Zen Master Bernie Glassman.

ANGO THEME & SCHEDULE:
We will meet for the Entry Ceremony 8am CT on January 12. Each Center will hold its own Zazenkai and only stream for its own practitioners.

PERSONAL PRACTICE COMMITMENT:
Each participant in the Ango in discussion with their teacher, will choose salient training elements from our 8 Core Practices to concentrate on and deepen during the Ango. These are written in an Ango Commitment Document, read by the participant at the Ango Entry Ceremony, and are then presented to and kept by their teacher.

 * You are welcome to attend any of the zazenkais without participating in the other aspects of Ango.
