The 5 Ranks and Koans in Relation to the Hua Yen Avatamsaka Sutra

Master Tozan co-founder of the Chinese Soto school created his own teaching method known as the five ranks Goi-koans. Roshi Genki will review his Hua Yen teachings and link them to this Koan system.

The Zen Teachings of Jesus

Our focus for study will be in nine parts that are considered the core of Jesus’ teachings. We will also focus on Christian Mystics from Meister Eckhart to the mystics of our time. Ending our study with The Sermon on the Mount as our call to live the message of Christ’s Justice for our world now.
