We are an open, welcoming and diverse community. It is not necessary to be a member to participate in our practice, workshops, events and retreats. For newcomers, we suggest attending our Introduction to Zen on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30pm with Monika Seiryo Brunner, Dharma Holder, where you will get direct instruction in the body, breath and mind of Zen Meditation and an overview of the path and practices. For graduates of the Introduction and other newer practitioners, we offer a Beginner’s Group that offers shorter meditation periods and discussion each Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. Suggested Donation for the beginner’s group is $10 for non-members. If after practicing with us for a while, you find our teachers, practice and community to your liking, you can apply for membership through the office.
