Rev. Greg Tensho Noble, Sensei in action

Rev. Greg Tensho Noble, Sensei is founder and director of the Zenshinkai Aikido Association, a United States-based organization with 11 dojos, committed to guiding students in the training methods of Aikido Zen and related budo. The essence of Aikido Zen is the awareness that bodymind reflects the oneness of creation.

Noble Sensei has been studying the martial arts since 1985 and holds the rank of 5th degree black belt Aikikai. He is former chairperson for both the Aikido World Alliance technical committee and the AWA national test committee.

Noble Sensei is a Dharma Successor, empowered as a Zen Priest and Zen Teacher, by Roshi Paul Genki Kahn in the Zen Garland Order. He is a Co-Director of the Aikido Zen Path, and is on the Board of Directors as well as on Roshi Genki’s personal Advisory Committee.

Zenshinkai offers introduction to Zen practice, zazenkai (one day retreats), weekly Dharma talks and retreats. Noble Sensei has been giving Precept Talks and has performed Taking the Zen Garland Vows Ceremonies (jukai).

Noble Sensei is a Chief Warrant Officer in the West Virginia National Guard, is married and has three children.
